Belgian post-metalband Juneau will be releasing their second album ‘Scraps of the Final Lights’ through De Mist Records on October 25, 2025.
The trio from Heist Op Den Berg have revealed the first song ‘Heave’ as their first single. A grooveladen song that represents the signature of the band and their upcoming album. Heavy riffs and dark atmospherics are combined with raw energy, which gives this song both it’s intensity and vulnerability. While still remaining to the bands characteristic style, The new album is a bold step forward, opening a new chapter in their musical story.
Juneau, formed in 2019, consists of drummer Soren Van Bauwel and guitarists Kevin Cravillon and Antoon Verbeeck. Their sound is often characterized by rich guitar textures and intricate and dynamic drumming. Amidst all the guitar-heavy music, the band also has an ear for melodic segments, elevating their work to an emotional level.
Juneau first gained attention on the Belgian music scene with their debut EP (2020), which showcased their ability to combine melodic hooks with atmospheric elements. As their fanbase grew, they performed in various venues across Belgium and quickly gained a reputation for their captivating live shows and the raw emotion they brought to the stage.
Over time, Juneau continued to evolve their sound with the release of the full-length album, Cloak (2021). In 2023 and 2024, the trio played their first headlining shows in Belgium and abroad, introducing several new songs to their setlist.
In October 2025, Juneau will release a new album, “Scraps of the Final Lights,” with which they aim to continue pushing boundaries with their creativity and dedication to their craft.
The vinyl versions of Scraps Of The Final Lights will be released through Dutch label De Mist Records on October 25th. Pre-ordering wil start soon through the bands bandcamp page and at www.demistrecords.nl.
